The story begins with the setting of a busy news agency in South Korea.
At that time an old man named Kim Jang Han
received news from his friend who was in Japan
that he had found Prince Yeong.

In 1919 at the Deoksu palace,
when there was a meeting between the King and the Imperial house, the
Imperial house discussed that Korea would prosper if it was under Japanese rule.
But the king would not let Japan take over Korea.
The next scene, the king is reunited with Kim Jang Han,
because Jang Han has a good personality and is loyal to Korea.
And the King has a plan to secretly betroth his daughter Deokhye
to Kim Jang Han.
The purpose of this engagement is so that someone can protect Deokhye in the future.
And unexpectedly, a conspiracy
to overthrow the Gwang Mu empire happened so fast.
At that time, Deokhye's daughter came to her father,
and saw that her father was lying because he had been poisoned.
At that moment the King died.

At that time Doekhye was invited to the imperial house
and the minister Han Taek-Su told him that
he wanted to make Deokhye a Japanese Colonial royalty and be educated there.
